It is with great reluctance that I can proudly announce that I am finally starting my very own travel blog - www.accidentaltourist.tamesapien.com

It is with great reluctance because it now means that I am officially confirming that I’m one of those backpackers that thinks his experiences and musings are worth publishing to more then just his mum. Fortunately, I came to accept this fact along time ago so it’s not really such a big step (On a side note I can also confirm that I’ve become one of those obnoxious people who always has a story about “the time when I was in <insert random country here>” to suit every conversation…).

After a four years now of living abroad, and many long-winded emails detailing my various adventures, I figured it’s about time I started my own passive form of communication rather then forcing my stories on to people. While some of you people are generous enough to stroke my ego tell by telling me that you love getting my updates and that I should keep them coming, I’m sure there are just as many people who’ve been added to my email list who are less interested and hit the delete button long before my charming and witty musings have had a chance to impress them.

This doesn’t mean that I intend to suddenly start writing updates more then my current pace of very occasionally, but now the choice is yours about whether you want to listen when I do. Visit it daily, sign up for the email list to get updates emailed to you, add it to your RSS feeder, or just ignore it altogether. I don’t mind. I realise that not everyone is my mother and that not everyone is as keen to hear about everything I get up to and nor see detailed pictorials of every street I walk down.
