After a few years now of living abroad and travelling, I figured it’s about time I started my own passive form of communication rather than forcing my long-winded emails detailing my various adventures on to people. While some people are generous enough to stroke my ego tell by telling me that they love getting my updates and that I should keep them coming, I’m sure there are just as many people who’ve been added to my email list who are less interested and hit the delete button long before my charming and witty musings have had a chance to impress them.

I realise that not everyone is my mother and that not everyone is as keen to hear about everything I get up to and nor see detailed pictorials of every street I walk down.

So this is my way of giving people a choice about whether to read my sporadic updates and travel stories, rather than making the decision myself and just adding people to my email list.

I realise that it means that I am officially confirming that I’m one of those backpackers that thinks his experiences and musings are worth publishing to more than just his mum. Fortunately, I came to accept this fact a long time ago so it’s not really such a big step (On a side note I can also confirm that I’ve become one of those obnoxious people who always has a story about “the time when I was in” to suit every conversation…).

If you want to hear from me I recommend you sign up for the email updates as I don’t necessarily make posting all that often and it’s an easy way to know when I do.
